One year ago today a devastating fire ripped through our church building. It was very upsetting at the time, but now those feelings have been replaced with a sense of excitement and we are all now looking forward not backward.

Working closely with our insurers we have appointed Caroe and Partners to redesign and project manage the rebuild. Although it may look as if nothing is happening, there is a lot going on in the background and we hope and pray that we will be opening our new building in 2021.

Many thanks goes to the members of Havelock Presbyterian Church who are giving us use of their building and to everyone who has helped and supported us over the last 12 months.

We have seen first hand what fire can do and how quickly it can spread, but our prayer and desire is that the spiritual fire of God will fall in this city of Newport and that it will spread quickly, changing peoples lives for the better. As people stood and watched the church building burn so they will stand in awe of our God as He transforms lives because His Fire brings Life not devastation!
